what i'm dreaming of

January always sparks a desire for new. New year, new habits, new designs. So I'm eyeing around, thinking of what I might want to swap out, upgrade, or just start a fresh. Here's your insider sneak peek of what's currently on my short list.

I noticed during a bout of New Years cleaning that our current rug is looking a little dingy. So it got my mind thinking about if we replaced it, what we would replace it with. So I pulled out a couple options that I think would be just dreamy. The first is a more modern, sophisticated style that I think would be gorgeous. The second is similar to the one we have now and I love it so much for it's thick, luxurious feel.

I've been eyeing some ways to update my bedroom. I love how it is, but I've had the headboard and the bedding since college, so a change would be a nice refresher. First of all, we all know I'm in the market for a headboard and I have been price checking this one almost daily. I love the tufting and curves coupled with the simple fabric and color.

I'm also seriously considering taking the dive into white bedding. Growing up, we didn't have white bedding or blankets, because, let's be practical - kids with white stuff? Not good. But now as an adultish person, I think I could handle it. Not to mention it's positively dreamy. These are just some of the options I've been playing around with.

Of course, this post wouldn't be complete without this couch. I've eyed it for so long, I just can't seem to take the final step, as I can't quite rationalize replacing my current couch. *sigh* But at least I can share it with you? And maybe someday, I'll get it for myself, too.

Truth be told, I've already pulled the trigger on one of these items - I did it right after I wrote the post! I just couldn't resist! Stay tuned to find out which is the newest addition in my apartment.
