tray-chic

Trays have been taking over the decorating world. They really make you get your junk together, you know?!

I love accessorizing tabletops, shelves, and surfaces - but sometimes I need to be reigned in a bit. Trays really allow me to keep all the small stylized accessories, while simultaneously corralling them into an organized space.

This sweet tray sits on my coffee table holding some of my favorite things. Like this Wild

Honeysuckle candle from Anthropologie that smells sweet and light when you burn it and is just as delicious for the eyes even when you don't.

But even sweeter than honeysuckle to me is the Selections from the Southern Poets book on the tray. This book came straight from Bon Haven itself. The last time I visited the house, I took a couple of mementos with me and this is one of them. Its cover is dusty and its pages are stained, but it still makes my heart skip a beat.

We all love to pick up mementos from our travels and I personally love home decor mementos - because I know I will see them all the time. I bought this gold coral tray from Zara Home on the Champs-Élysées during my time in Paris this summer. Yes, I had to carry it in my suitcase for the next eight days of my trip, but it was oh so worth it.

What is one of your favorite sentimental pieces you have incorporated into your home?
