garden party
I'm all about bringing the outside in. Literal life to your space, cleansing your air and your atmosphere.
So when I heard that Ruibal's was having a Garden Party, I threw on my gardening gloves and scooted right over. (Jokes, I really just grabbed my dead succulents and begged for advice.)
Basically it was a succulent-palooza. Perfectly tailored for not-so-green-thummed-me. And the decorator in me swooned at that cactus pillow.
Ruibal's has two locations here in Dallas, one main downtown and one more mini. This was my first time to visit the downtown hub and it had me floored. It was a sheerly utopian mix of a plant nursery, home decor, small craft, garden wonderland. Sounds like heaven, right?
Oh and did I mention there were cocktails? Definitely heaven. Bless this garden, indeed.
Sprinkled all over the interior of the store they had precious little planters like these. They even hosted a succulent planting design class as part of the party. (Score!)
But honestly, the funnest of the fun parts for me was just getting to see the seamless incorporation of plants and decor. Some truly creative people spent some truly intentional time pouring over this store. The concreteness of design elements like metal and wood blended in so smoothly with the softer plant elements that graced every surface. It really opened a new conceptual design window for me. Like, "Why of course I have a stunning sprawl of flowers on top of my bar cart. Why wouldn't I?"
And to top it all off, I got to enjoy all the eye-candy with my sweet nephew and his momma! And now we have these adorable pictures too.
