2016 in review
Oh 2016 - you were one for the books. And with the close of the year, I want to share with you what is quite possibly my most meaningful piece of decor in my apartment.
My most favored way to commemorate the year is to keep a memory jar, filled with all trinkets, tidbits, and memorabilia. And getting to sit down at the end of the year and sort through it all is so, much, fun. Some of the items I remember vividly, some I earnestly have no clue what they're from. (oops!) But the best ones are the ones that I forgot I saved, and then realize how important they are and how thankful I am that I have them. So for our first post of 2017, I thought I would take a beat to reflect on 2016 with you all.
I've included a picture walkthrough or feel free to skip to the bottom and watch the video unpacking of 2016!
Some of these trinkets speak for themselves of their value and purpose, but I know some are a little unclear. So if you want to know how I managed to get three "I voted" stickers (without committing voter fraud) or if you're curious about why a faded receipt is my most valued item in the jar, take a peek at the video below. Keep in mind it is my first foray in front of the camera for the blog, so please be kind! :) I've also tacked on a time-lapse, because why not? They're just so fun!
Now cheers to 2017!
