street cred 3.21

I stumbled across this sweet and simple abode a few months ago and regret that I didn't take any more pictures. It was a quick fly-by but it had a lasting effect and I couldn't resist the share!

Many of my friends roll their eyes and sigh when I spout (yet again) about how much I love the simplicity of colors like white and grey, but they simply can't be beat! They're clean, they're basic, and they can be embellished without ever risking being gaudy.

I'm in love with the simple white coat of paint given dimension by the vertical trimming along the exterior. And the simple cottage style shutters in the accented blue grey along with the metal roof help break up the white without costing the effect of the bright openness. And of course, the liberal use of windows never hurts!

And we all know I have a soft spot for those large pavers and gravel driveways! Sorry I couldn't pull through with more detailed photos, but it was too good to pass up sharing with you!

quick fixes

#1

Move things around! Sometimes your space is just stale and needs variation. Figure out another way for the puzzle pieces to fit together.

#2

Bring in some greenery or fresh flowers. Guaranteed to bring a little more life to any space.

#3

Open up your blinds! Natural light restores a space like none other. Short supply of windows? Increase your own lighting with bright and effective lamps.
